Pronouns: he/him/his

Hometown: Odumase-Krobo (Ghana)

Year of Study: PhD

Major(s): Composition and Rhetoric

Future Life Plans: I hope to complete my PhD and teach as a full-time professor.

Favorite Piece of Writing: I appreciate writing that demonstrates and shapes how we understand people, cultures, and identities, while reminding us of the importance of making space for multiple perspectives and voices.

Why I love working at the Writing Center/Why I'm excited to work at the Writing Center: I am excited to work at the Writing Center because it provides a collaborative space where writers can develop their ideas, strengthen their confidence, and discover their unique voices. I especially value the opportunity to work with writers from diverse linguistic, cultural, and academic backgrounds and to learn from the different experiences they bring to their writing. As someone interested in multilingual writing and composition pedagogy, I see Writing Center consultations not simply as opportunities to improve individual texts, but as conversations through which writers can develop greater agency and confidence in making rhetorical choices. I am equally excited about what I will learn from the writers I work with, since every consultation offers a new perspective on writing, language, and communication.

Part of speech you would be and why: I would be a semicolon because I enjoy bringing ideas and people together while still making space for each to retain its own voice and identity. Like a semicolon, I value connection without erasing difference, something that resonates with how I approach writing, teaching, and collaboration.

Hobbies: I enjoy watching soccer, listening to gospel music, traveling, exploring different cultures, and spending time with friends and family.
